Protect the ICC - Uphold Arrest Warrants Against Israeli War Criminals

The International Criminal Court faces an unprecedented assault on its independence. After ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, he was removed from office in a politically motivated campaign. U.S. President Donald Trump publicly admitted U.S. attempts to "bring the ICC to heel" were intended to "defend Bibi". Now, as the ICC prepares to elect six new judges in December 2026, we must ensure these critical positions are filled by impartial jurists committed to equal justice for all including Palestinian people, and not judges who will bow to US and Israeli pressure. The Netanyahu and Gallant arrest warrants must be upheld and enforced. The Court's credibility depends on equal application of the law.
