Demand CBS End Its Islamophobic Coverage of Mayor Mamdani

CBS News has engaged in a systematic pattern of biased, Islamophobic coverage targeting NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani. From July 24-29, CBS chose to amplify baseless smears, legitimize coordinated political attacks, and weaponize fear rather than practice ethical journalism. Their coverage of the NYC stabbings centered only the Jewish victim while downplaying mental health factors and emphasizing inflammatory details like "Allahu Akbar" and a Quran found in the attacker's apartment. CBS legitimized a politically-motivated petition to bar Mamdani from 9/11 ceremonies without investigating its Zionist organizational backing or the petition organizer's admitted Islamophobic motivations. Most recently, CBS amplified manufactured outrage over Mamdani's judicial panel, falsely framing the absence of Jewish members as antisemitic exclusion while ignoring his extensive record of appointing Jewish judges. Throughout all this coverage, CBS has platformed only Zionist voices, failed to provide necessary context about international law and ICC warrants, and participated in a coordinated campaign to delegitimize NYC's first Muslim mayor because of his unwavering support for Palestinian human rights and opposition to genocide in Gaza.
